Sustainable solutions in Finland
eTehdas wants to operate in Finland. Finland has excellent preconditions for being a front-runner in the production of renewable electricity and in developing a sustainable energy economy globally. The necessary engineering know-how exists in Finland and there is ample windy and sunny space available as well as good access to clean water. Everything is on a stable bedrock which to build upon. The transport connections are excellent on the sea as well as on land.
High added-value products from renewable electricity
Renewable electricity can be used to produce hydrogen in a sustainable and low-emission manner. Hydrogen may be used as such or to produce valuable products, such as fuels, chemicals, fertilizers or steel. Doing so enables harnessing the energy of the wind and the sun to reduce emissions of existing activities like transport and agriculture, or to create entirely new sustainable business, such as production of fossil free steel. Additionally, renewable electricity can be stored, which enables its use for ancillary services in the power system. The objective of eTehdas is to produce added value in the form of the these products and services.
